Born in Israel to Holocaust survivors, she immigrated to the United States as a young child. Gabriella graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Art with a BFA in 1984, where she studied intaglio and oil painting.

Since 2001, she has devoted herself fulltime to painting and showing her work. In addition to painting, Gabriella continues drawing in pen and ink, completing numerous finished sketches as preparation for her paintings.

Gabriella has been included in numerous solo and group shows since 1988. In 2010 she had the a solo show at Anshe Emet Synagogue. In 2009, she showed her work in a two-person show at the College of Lake County. A solo show at the University of Illinois in 2007 showed her works on paper Her solo show in 2006 at Schopf Gallery in Chicago displayed works completed in 1990-96.
